Hey Mixbook family, this class will take a look at the photo style tools available. Clicking on the three dots at the end of the photo toolbar will expand the toolbar and really allow you to customize your photos!

These tools include the ability to add borders, shadows, color adjustments, and transparency to your photos. We’ll take a look at each tab, moving from left to right. So let’s start!

1. Borders

This tab allows you to add a border or frame to your photo. Use the slider bar to pick the preferred width of your border. Then you can change the color using the color picker. Click Reset if you'd like to undo all border adjustments and start over again.

2. Shadows

This tab allows you to add a shadow behind your photo. What are the benefits of adding a shadow to your photo? It gives your photo a 3D look, replicating the look of a regular photo album. When layering elements, using shadows also help to show the distinction between layers, making a photo look further back or closer to the top. Photos are automatically placed onto the page with a shadow. There are five preset shadow settings, each one varying in the amount of shadow placed behind the photo. The first option, is the “No Shadow” button, which will completely remove the shadow.

3. Color Adjustment Tools

You'll be able to adjust the brightness, saturation, and contrast of your photo using these three slider bars. Tip: darker photos always should get a little brightening job before going to print.

4. Opacity/Transparency

This last tab allows you to control the transparency of your photo. This feature is especially useful when you want to use your photo as a background for your page, or even a background for text! Just use the slider bar to get the perfect opacity you're looking for.
