Making Art Everyday With Lisa Bardot
We are big champions of finding your creative outlet. Establishing healthy habits are so important for our mental health. With all the extra time on our hands lately, now is a good time to practice new habits that make us feel good.
Illustrator Lisa Bardot has been keeping families busy with her Making Art Everyday series of drawing prompts and tutorials. Making Art Everyday helps you overcome creative fears and establish a daily art-making practice.
“When you’re starting out, Making Art Everyday is all about establishing the habit. This is not about “I’ll draw if I have the time”, it’s about making the time a priority. Find a time that works for your life, but in the beginning, focus on doing it at the same time every day. Maybe it’s just before work, while you eat your lunch, or in the evening when the house quiets down.” - Lisa Bardot
With your iPad and the ProCreate App, you’ll learn how to digitally illustrate with ease. How does Mixbook come into play? Well, Lisa’s March 2020 prompts were based on the alphabet. Each participant was instructed to choose their own theme to illustrate each letter of the alphabet. The theme she chose was “things my kids like.” In the end, Lisa printed these illustrations into a custom photo book with Mixbook!
