Congratulations to Matt, our Fan of the Month for October! Matt recently created his first Mixbook documenting his family's trip to Tuscany, Italy to celebrate his in-laws' 50th anniversary! Read on to learn how he made his commemorative photo book to present as gifts to the family:
Mixbook: How did you find out about Mixbook? Matt: I Googled for sites where I could make a photo book. Google served up many sites, so I then looked user reviews of the different sites. Mixbook had the best user reviews. Additionally, I knew that I wanted a stylish template, and I found other sites had templates that were "cutesy" and not tasteful.
Mixbook: What inspired you to create your photo book for your family's trip to Italy? Matt: My wife is one of six children. Her parents are celebrating 50 years of marriage this year, and they wanted their children, children's spouses, and all grandchildren to vacation together in Tuscany, Italy, for one week. Before we even left the United States, I decided that I'd take as many photographs of all family members as I could for a commemorative photo book to present them as a gift.
Mixbook: Can you share with us a little about the trip? Matt: There were 29 of us, ages ranging from 4 to 74! We had four vans and one sedan for getting around Tuscany. The villa we rented was perfect because it was large enough that we could enjoy dinners together in the dining room at a long table, and yet each family had its own bedroom.
Mixbook: How did you decide on which theme/layouts/photos to use? Matt: I chose the theme because it was elegant and had great use of gradients.
Mixbook: Any tips for users? Matt: Don't be afraid to mix and match the different spreads from the same theme. That's what I did. Because I wanted to make sure each of the 29 on the trip were well-represented, I used theme pages that had many photo boxes.
